Our Story (so far...)
Prologue: My name is Chris Copeland and I am the owner of Grin Mobile. For 22 years I earned my keep as a youth minister and camp director. Working with young people and their families has always been something I've loved doing, and it has given me an amazing and rewarding life.
As I was winding down from that vocation, I knew that a 9-to-5 desk job would do me in. I've never had regular office hours in my life! There has also been an entrepreneurial side to me that I wanted to let loose to see what would happen. I also wanted to find something that would allow me to continue using my skills as a youth leader/camp director, and would clearly be different and not boring. Eventually I stumbled upon this new concept of mobile laser tag. Let the games begin.
Tanner ready for action at Whipple CityAll in the Family: One of the other great things about this new venture was that my family could be part of the process, too. If you see us at a festival somewhere you'll likely meet my daughter at the ticket booth and my son leading the games. In fact my son is my main assistant, dreamcaster, and essential part of each Grin event.
Today: So now we have going strong for over 3 years with what is still a fairly new business concept. that is getting great word of mouth advertising. Our clients have been amazing, and we have loved getting this off the ground. Like most start-ups we are always learning and improving, but it's always a fun and challenging adventure. Our calendar is getting busier each day, and we dream of the day when fleets of Grinmobiles will be travelling the countryside bringing action to parties and events everywhere.
