How to Plan Your Grin Birthday Party

So what does a great birthday party look like with Grin Mobile Laser Tag. After having been at hundreds of parties over the last few years, we've decided to provide a quick primer for how to host your own perfect party.

1-3 Months Prior to Party

  1. Secure your party with Grin by phone, email, or by completing our Online Booking Request Form.
  2. Decide if you are going to have a theme with your party. This will help with ideas for any gift bags, decorations, or prizes you may want to provide.
  3. Send out the invites. One of the great things about a Grin party is that we don't charge per player, so you don't have to fret too much about how many to invite. Anywhere from 8-24 players will work!

Week of Party

  1. Confirm with your guests about the date and time.
  2. Expect a call from Grin a few days prior to the event to discuss and final details. This might include any concerns regarding potential weather issues.
  3. Shop for final food, beverages, and gift pack stuffers.

Day of Party

  1. Scour the playing field for any potential dangers or yuckies (doggy land mines are common culprits).
  2. Set-up the party area with drinks and any snacks you may be providing during the party. Re-hydrating type drinks are great to have since the players will be running around for a couple of hours.
  3. Expect the Grin Crew to arrive about 60-90 minutes prior to party time to look over the playing field, meet the family, and set-up the playing field. Please have payment ready at this time.
  4. Grin Crew will begin training the players at the designated party start time. This last about 10 minutes.
  5. Party on!
  6. Following the 2 hour playing time, the Grin Crew will begin tearing down their equipment and should be loaded and gone in about 60 minutes.

Typical Party Schedule on the day of Event (this example assumes a 2pm start time)

  • 12:30pm - Grin Crew arrives to look over the playing area, meet the family, and set-up
  • 1:50pm   - The players arrive
  • 2:00pm   - Players gather at the Grin Command Center for training.
  • 3:00pm   - Short 10 minute drink break to ensure the players stay hydrated
  • 4:00pm   - Laser Tag time wraps up. Players head to inside for birthday celebration, food, presents, etc while the Grin Crew tears down
  • 5:00pm   - Grin Crew is packed and heading out to their next adventure. Party players are making plans for when Grin can be at their next party.
